My name is Bob. Like so many others have said, I was a deist before I knew the word exsisted. I was raised Southern Baptist but always felt like an outsider. I always understood God far more watching nature than I ever did in church or reading the Bible. I always felt a certain rhythm or synchronicity to life that I couldn't quite wrap my mind around but I knew it was there. About ten years ago, I read The Age Of Reason and I knew that I had found at least the closest thing to what I believed. I am very happy that I have found you folks and I look forward to many good discussions.

Hi Bob (ever watch the Bob Newheart show?).

Welcome aboard to my fellow North Carolinian. My name is Stephen, and I live in Knightdale, in the Raleigh area. Do you live anywhere close to Raleigh? I figure it would be kinda nice to get together occasionally with any fellow Deists who live relatively close.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to reintroduce myself. I was a lurker here for a while but before long I just became so busy that I forgot about this site. I'll try not to let that happen this time.
