Most of you guys are probably familiar with Deism Today, the Deist Alliance quarterly newsletter. As associate editor, I was thinking that a good theme for the upcoming summer issue could be "Observing, Thinking, and Reasoning" or something along these lines. Chuck Clendenen is the lead editor, but I think he wants me to gather articles and review them before sending them to him. So for anyone interested in writing an article on this theme, please email me at brandon@enlightenedworldview.com

Greetings

I am working on one for your consideration, do we have a deadline?

Peace - Yehya

Excellent! I am shooting for the end of June for submission of the articles and sometime in July for publication. If we need to, we can push back publication a couple of weeks.

Julie has expressed interest in doing a column for the upcoming newsletter, but she says this will be dependent on results from a user poll here. Chuck, I think Julie sent you an email a while back with the info on what the poll should say. I also sent you some emails regarding the newsletter and I haven't got a response yet. I understand that you are quite busy, but I just wanted to make sure we are on schedule here. I'm not sure if we were sending emails to the wrong address though. Are you still webmaster@naturesgod.org? If so, you've got the info on how to create the poll in a message from a while ago. I am also willing to do what is necessary to set up the poll, but I think I would need my permissions here to be increased.

I don't know what might have happened to Julie's email. I have scoured both email and PM and can't find it, so I hate it, but I will need a re-send. I will happily do the poll if you wish, but you can initiate a poll. So can Julie for that matter.

That address for me is fine. Sorry about being so neglectful about responding. I have no excuse. I will do better. I also hope to put together a newsletter article. I have a long weekend. (YAY!)

I think I was just cc: on the emails with Joel. He had sent me a copy of his article, but then before I could respond he said he would rewrite.

Thanks Chuck. So far, for the summer newsletter we have Joel's article (being revised by Joel), my article (being peer-reviewed), Cathy's article (in process I'm assuming), Julie's column (I will help her set up the poll she mentioned as soon as she lets me know what she wants it to say) and possibly something from Chuck. We should also have a brief editorial welcoming Unified Deism into the DA. I'd also suggest a message from Dave explaining how iDeism still exists in some form within the UD site and anything else he would like to say about UD. Would this be enough content for the issue?

I will work something up for the newsletter, but I am stuck in Ramstein all weekend trying to get my family out on a space A flight to the States. Since I am not traveling with them they are in the second to lowest travel priority which really sucks. :(

I believe that is plenty for an issue. Don't worry about the length. We'll make as much room as necessary.

Brandon, I'm planning on getting something done over the next two days.

And I'll start laying out the format. I'll do a short blurb on UD joining the DA and will pass on to Dave to add some words about iDeism. I'll also add an update about editorial team changes. I've started a full-length article that fits with the theme.

I'm looking forward to a great issue!

Greetings

Do you have a theme for the fall issue? I like to get an early start on things. How is the summer one coming along?

Peace - Yehya

I'm not going to be able to do justice to my piece on symbiosis by July 15th, so if you want to exclude me from the summer issue, so be it. I won't put my work out there until I am happy with it.

Perhaps Brandon can use it for the fall issue.
