Perhaps "greed" isn't the best descriptive word. I would call it more "socially irresponsible". The banks showed their lack of concern and projection for people and the economy resulting in the fallout of the housing market when they were lending to those who could not afford it. We have seen some evidence of this throughout corporate America. Yes, the greed of some can be a motivating factor in social irresponsibility for those who "skim the cream" and run. I have nothing against capitalism, but I do believe it should come with social responsibility.

From what we know of Jesus, I do think that is something he would be very unhappy about.

The one thing that Jesus attacked was the purity system. It created a whole world with sharp social boundaries between pure and impure, righteous and sinner, whole and not whole, male and female, rich and poor, Jew and Gentile. The parable of the Good Samaritan is a pointed attack on the purity system: the priest and the Levite passed by the wounded man out of observance of the purity laws. The Samaritan was impure according to the purity system. He was the one who acted compassionately. It was also a pointed attack on the purity system and the advocacy of another system: compassion.

Jesus broke broke bread with all who were impure according to the purity system. He was charged with being a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.

I guess rather than looking at Oil Companies, Corporations, Banks, etc., who would be the people today that Jesus would sit down with that don't make the grade in our life's

An interesting way to look at it, Driver. I would imagine it would be the same people that most CEOs of Oil Companies, Corporations, and Banks, would never be caught dead socializing with.

Surely he would also sit down with the CEOs - after all, he said that he came to save sinners and of course there was Matthew who was a tax collector (http://www.sundayschoollessons.com/matthew.htm) .
I do think he would have a LOT to say about how organised religion has made up things and claimed them to be his law, and I can think of a certain topical issue in the biggest church of all upon which subject you can bet he would have an awful lot to say to the rulers of that church about thier duty toward children! I'd love to see that!
I don't suppose inside, as humans we are much different at all from 2000 years ago, and that would probably be the biggest dissapointment to him.

Like Mark Twain said, if Jesus were to return, one thing he wouldn't be is a Christian. He would probably look at the state of the worlds religions and say "screw this crap, I'm siding with the Deist's".

Wouldn't make much difference though because the Government would immediately assassinate him and blame it on the Taliban...

Realistically, if there really was a historical Jesus, and if he really was a physical manifestation of God, how many people do you really think would believe in his authenticity upon his return?

Most people would pass him off as just another nutcase cult leader, and if he tried to prove himself by miraculous means, all that would do is get the alien conspiricy people worked up into a lather. I'm sure, with enough "proof", many of the highly religious people among the Abrahamic faiths would accept him, but the vast majority would not. JMO...

I wouldn't believe it.
