Do you have a theme for the fall issue? I like to get an early start on things. How is the summer one coming along?

Peace - Yehya

Well, before you heard about the theme for the summer issue, you did submit an ethical themed article. I thought this would be best within an issue featuring different perspectives on ethics. Also, someone, I don't remember who, asked if he could submit an article with arguments against the existence of Jesus as a real person in favor of theories that link the Gospel stories to ancient myths. I find this interesting and I think it would work good within an issue featuring historical theories relating to religious beliefs and the development of Deism. I was considering possibly polling the users to see which they prefer. We could do both of these, one for the fall and one for the winter.

The summer issue is coming along just fine. It can be tough for some of our contributors to not only do everything else that must be done in their lives every day, but to also find time to write an article. This is not a problem. Though I did earlier target mid-July for publication, I am mostly only concerned about the summer issue actually coming out in the summer. I think we are well on track to get it out either in late July or early August.

Perhaps Brandon can use it for the fall issue.

Do you think you could complete this by the end of the upcoming weekend? We are not really on a strict timeline as I see it. If publication gets pushed back to August then this is fine by me. Chuck, what do you think?

I think pushing to the end of the month is fine, but not beyond. Anything we can't get by 7/25 or so should wait till the next issue.

Barring any other unexpected distractions, I should be able to do that. :)

Greetings

I like the idea of an ethics themed issue. It is what attracted me to philosophy in the first place, Plato's writing on ethics

Just a reminder Cathy, the last day to submit an article for the Summer newsletter is Sunday the 25th. I don't see how we could extend the deadline past that.

Thanks to Brandon, Dave, Yehya, Julie and others, the next issue of Deism Today will be released in the next day or two.

Thanks to all for a great group effort. I hope the articles spark some interesting thoughts and discussions.

Chuck, I replied to your email a couple days ago and today you said you haven't got an email regarding the newsletter in 2 days. Pete sent you an email as well. I just sent you another one. Something might be wrong with your email.

Thank you! I was suspecting something was wrong. That is a new email account, and it did have a problem on the receive side. Now fixed. I have applied the recommended changes.
